The Tour
Tour Highlights
With no long coach journeys through Europe or expensive flights to pay for - all your time can be devoted to getting the most from your tour. For teams that want to venture beyond our UK tournaments but are only looking for a short break or on a budget but still want that European flair and the opportunity to play foreign teams, then our France Day trips provide the answer.
Calais and Boulogne may only be a short journey away but they have numerous street cafés bars and restaurants and upmarket shops to choose from. There are a variety of hypermarkets and wine warehouses and the region has a number of tourist attractions including the fantastic Bagatelle Theme Park.
We have shown typical itineraries for the 1,2 or 3 day trips, but this is just a suggestion and can vary the itinerary to suit your needs.
1 Day Trip
Board your coach from your local area for the journey to Folkestone/Dover in time to connect 09.00 hours Eurotunnel/ Ferry to Calais. Arrive in Calais at around 10.30 local time.
Your friendly fixture will not take place until around 14.00 hrs, so leaves plenty of time to go shopping or have a relaxing meal - as the French are known for their cuisine - the choice is yours. After the match there will be time to get to know the local team over a drink or two at the clubhouse before reboarding the coach for the 19.00 hrs Eurotunnel/ferry and then home.
2 Day Trip
Much the same as the single day’s tour but after comfortable nights sleep and breakfast we can depart for the excitement and frills of Bagatelle Theme Park. It offers huge range of rides, amusements and attractions. Leave the park in time to connect with the 19.00 hrs Eurotunnel/Ferry.
3 Day Trip
Make use of the third day to either play an additional friendly fixture (subject to supplementary charge) or get to know the local area better. Return via the 19.00hrs Eurotunnel/Ferry.
- Great tours for clubs who are looking for good value
- Avoid long coach journeys and expensive flights
- Very close to Calais with little travelling time
- Superb football against French teams
Enhance your tour
We can arrange optional excursions to Bagatelle theme park or why not try skating or paintballing?
Accommodation
Calais and Boulogne have a good selection of two and three star hotels that offer decent rooms at reasonable prices, such as the Bonsai Escale or Etap Hotel.
Football
We have teamed up with CRUFC Calais where teams will play at the fantastic sports complex in Calais, which is a ten minute drive from the ferry terminal. The sport complex has seven football pitches; changing rooms and clubhouse where teams can socialize eat and drink. The football club has many teams so matching your football standard will not be a problem. They are very excited about the prospect of playing English teams so why not take this great opportunity and book a trip to France.
